This page is pictures of pictures.  It could be a little confusing, but I’ll explain.  My watercolor paintings are painted using my pictures for subject matter.   Searching through the boxes of old pictures looking for something to paint gave me a chance to sort all the pre-digital snaps.

I found some of those great double exposures with red eye.  Fast film was an attempt to freeze the action.  The actual pictures were quite dark and fuzzy.  There’s something about aperture, etc.  things that should have been used unbeknown to the shooter.  This doesn’t necessarily mean that the digital experience is any less frustrating.

This picture was taken early October in Glacier National Park.  I just love the majesty of the Rockies, vibrant yellows and golds of the Aspens and clear skies.  What a delightful time to tour the park.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The beauty of the hot arid landscape just takes your breath away. In more ways than one. Thistle has tiny intricate flower blossoms with thorny stem. They are a nuisance in the yard, but lovely out in the open rocky areas their purple flowers are stunning.
